This is day number two of the Laptop Leader training session. It has been very enlightening and the information has been very helpful. The more information, resources and programs I'm exposed too, the more my ideas expand. However, the expansion of my ideas leads to mental paralysis.
I think we need an hour or two set aside to synthesize the information and then be directed as to how to implement 2 or 3 ideas and to work towards mastering them. In terms of mathematics, I really enjoyed the real-life application of compound interest in reference to buying coffee in the morning. I want to learn to use Excel as a tool in my Algebra II and Pre-Calc classes.
I'm extremely excited about teaching at a school that is forward thinking in terms of technology and preparing students for the 21st century. I'm in the right place.

I also like how I can start a problem, transition to a video on YouTube, then come back to the SB to finish the problem. I did this successfully today when teaching imaginary numbers. I showed the students to relationship between marketing/commercials and imaginary numbers. They don't exist, but we use them in concert with things that are real to make people believe them.
